Hi!

I would like to switch on my cooling and heating systems when the operative temperature is out of the range of comfortable temperatures (i.g from 20°C to 28°C). Is it possible to set the setpoint temperatures so that the heating will be required when the zone temperature is lower than 20°C and the cooling will be required when the zone temperature is higher than 28°C ?

I’ve been using Design Builder to simulate my Project. On construction model data tab, I set the number of layers, the materials and the material thickness for each layer. On the calculate tab, I got 2,95 for U-value (wich is in bold). However, when I run the simulation, I got for U-value two differents values : 4,23( U-factor with film) and 11, 59 (U-factor no Film). I got confused because my maximum wall U-value allowed is 3W/m2 and the output values are much higher. Wich one should I base on?

UPDATE

I've attached two shoot screens about my question. The components wall are cement sand render, concrete block and cement/plaster/mortar - cement screed.

2017-03-31 13:16:20 -0500 asked a question Edit calculation options data for simulation

I simulated my model on Design Builder by setting a specific period of time (from 19 feb to 23 feb) on the simulation calculation options to generate a comfort data for typical summer conditions. I have to simulate for typical winter conditions as well, however, the Edit Calculation Options panel does not appear so that I could edit the period of time to be simulated again. The simulation runs straight providing me output data from the previous period simulated. How I could possibly sort out this problem?

2017-03-30 14:13:32 -0500 asked a question Simulating for typical summer and typical winter day

I would like to know how I can simulate a building using the Design Builder for a typical summer and winter day of a specific city. I've already got the climate date from the city. However, I don't know where I should enter with the data on Design Builder. Do I get the simulation separately for each condiction( typical summer and typical winter day) ?
