My laptop is win x64 and I have no success in installing this version of ruby. I am wondering if someone has some hints about how to install ruby 2.0.0 on win x64. |

The following is my answers after checking my models: "Are you getting the same exact profile in all your models?" YES "Are the same months missing the data?" YES "Does this happen when you run OpenStudio with EnergyPlus as the daylighting simulation engine instead of Radiance?" NO, it happened for both Radiosity and Radiance models. "Have you tried the latest iteration release?" NO, not yet. |

2015-07-17 19:28:02 -0500 | commented question | Illuminance Map Does not Show Up @macumber OK, I exported OpenStudio to IDF format, opened it in EP and I checked for illuminance map and lighting controls. They were all there. I guess there is some sort of bug there. Maybe OpenStudio Only shows illuminance map result in "\run\1-Ruby-0" directory. Since I only run Radiasity, then, OpenStudio does not create "\run\1-Ruby-0" directory. As a result, illuminance map result gets lost (my speculation). |
2015-07-17 19:11:40 -0500 | commented question | A bug in results summary is very misleading @rpg777 well, I do not know why you get loads for all 12 months in the OpenStudio application because I do not. In fact, I have the same error for other models. Since I am familiar with OpenStudio, and EP, I can figure out that the results showing in the OpenStudio application is wrong. But I think it is a problem for people who are new and just snap the results from the OpenStudio application in their reports. I hope it gets fixed soon. |

My Laptop is win(x64) and I can't find any link to Radiance 4.2.2 for win(x64). Is there any link to this version of Radiance? If not, what should I do? |
2015-07-10 18:28:37 -0500 | asked a question | A bug in results summary is very misleading I ran my simulation (EP8.2, Radiance 5, OpenStudio 1.7) and on the results summary tab I found out that I am getting lighting and equipment loads only for three months!!!! To find what the problem is with my model, I asked for monthly report for each zone in OpenStudio and I opened sql in resultviewer directly. Then, I found out the model has actually monthly loads; however, it is not showing up in the results summary tab. |

2015-07-07 19:39:30 -0500 | asked a question | Illuminance Map Does not Show Up I am running EP's daylighting engine (Radiosity) within OpenStudio to get an illuminance map. The illuminance map does not show up in ResultViewer while I have a elups.csv. So I ran EP directly, and still illuminance map does not show up in ResultViewer. why is that? |
2015-07-07 16:22:24 -0500 | asked a question | Illuminance Map Shape Is there any way to define a None-Rectangular illuminance Map? If not, what is wrong with having an illuminance map bigger than a plan? In this case, I am wondering if I can define the footprint in an eplusmap.cvs and calculate DA myself? |
2015-07-07 13:50:02 -0500 | commented answer | Obtaining "simulation command generated no results, stuffing with 0" in OS and Radiance what I found is that if you install any software containing Radiance after you install OpenStudio, you will get this error. In my case, I installed Diva before and Daysim after OpenSudio installation. Before installing Daysim, I did not have this error even though I had Diva installed. However, after I installed Daysim I got this error. I uninstalled Daysim and the error was gone! |
2015-06-29 15:21:38 -0500 | commented answer | Material Definition In Radiance Thanks. I was aware of defining EP material properties; however, I was not sure if OpenStudio can feed Radiance this information. Hopefully, as you mentioned, it does. And in regard to glazing properties, you just explain to me some valuable information. |
