2023-10-11 08:30:19 -0500 | marked best answer | How to model a Radiant Barrier in BeOpt Not sure if it is possible with BeOpt 2.8 but I am modeling a building that is designed with a radiant barrier. I cannot find a way in the options of BeOpt to get this done. Does anyone have a clue on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance. |

2023-10-10 13:34:47 -0500 | marked best answer | How to Properly Model a Concrete-Reinforced High-Rise with BeOpt2.8 I am wondering what is the most accurate way to model a concrete-reinforced high-rise in BeOpt2.8. The building is a high-rise in IECC climate zone 1 (Hawaii). We can assume that the minimum designed wall insulation is R-13 when looking at the HI commercial energy code. However, I am not sure if the proper way to model this is by selecting an R-13 option under Walls>Steel Stud or from some other option. I am an Energy Engineer and have limited Structural Engineering understanding. Thanks for your help! |
