2016-07-25 16:02:53 -0500 answered a question Unable to Register for BCL

Sorry about that - we're upgrading the authentication on the BCL at the moment to use OAuth so that credentials can be shared between EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, and the BCL.

For now, you can use the legacy registration page to create an account: https://bcl.nrel.gov/user/register/

@J Monteiro Be sure to uninstall OpenStudio first, and then download the 64-bit version of v1.7.0 for compatibility with that version of SketchUp: https://openstudio-builds.s3.amazonaw...

2015-01-30 12:10:12 -0500 answered a question SketchUp looking for OS1.5.0 when OS1.6 is installed

When you install OpenStudio v1.6.0, the SketchUp plugin is installed to C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins. However, if there is an OpenStudio plugin in your AppData directory, it will override the ProgramData location. Check that there's no plugin in %APPDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins.

2014-12-05 12:25:47 -0500 commented answer Sketchup 2015 and Open Studio 1.5

@Aaron Boranian It looks like SketchUp 2015 (64-bit) is only finding OpenStudio v1.5.0 (32-bit). Try copying the contents of "C:\Program Files\OpenStudio 1.5.3\Ruby\Plugins" to "C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins" (Or simply reinstall v1.5.3 64-bit). Both of those should replace the v1.5.0 files.

I should mention that if that doesn't work, then it's likely finding the v1.5.0 plugin in an alternate Plugins directory (SketchUp has 3) and that can override the ProgramData location. You can find the other locations here: http://goo.gl/Jo3dQu

You'll have to download OpenStudio v1.5.3 Win64 from our GitHub Release page.

@Enrique Sorry about that, we're working on getting the 64-bit Windows installer listed on the main website. However, it can be downloaded from the GitHub release:

2014-11-07 11:55:58 -0500 answered a question Sketchup 2015 and Open Studio 1.5

We just added SketchUp 2015 support to OpenStudio yesterday - Starting with v1.5.3 (due late next week), the 32-bit OpenStudio installer will install the plugin for 32-bit SketchUp 2015, and the 64-bit installer will install the plugin for 64-bit SketchUp 2015.

OpenStudio versions 1.4.1 through 1.5.2 are compatible with 32-bit SketchUp 2015, but you have to copy the plugin manually from the 2014 directory to the 2015 one:

C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
  to
C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\SketchUp\Plugins
