2017-07-17 06:48:14 -0500 | marked best answer | Problems exporting 15-minute interval data I have modeled a building openstudio 1.14.0 with EnergyPlus 8-6-0 and am exporting several output variables and meters to csv files, and all runs fine when the reporting frequency is set to 'hourly.' However, I am interested in seeing the data at 15-minute intervals. I am running into 2 issues when I switch the reporting frequency from 'hourly' to 'timestep': (1) When I change the reporting frequency to 'timestep' for the output variables, the model runs without error messages, but does not generate any csv files with the variable data. (2) When I change the reporting frequency to 'timestep' for the meters, the model fails and I get my least favorite error message: "...being ignored in restricted program because of @executable_path" Is there another method for viewing meter and output variable data at 15-minute intervals? Has anyone run into these issues? |

2017-03-29 14:01:14 -0500 | asked a question | Add schedules for different building types in OpenStudio I'm modeling a multifamily housing building in OpenStudio. Most of the space types are associated with the Midrise Apartment building type, however there is no option for Midrise Apartment schedules. I started this model in Sketchup and loaded the Midrise Apartment building type through the Space Type and Construction Set Wizard (so all of the Midrise Apartment space types appear in my Sketchup model, but this seems to be lost in OpenStudio). In OpenStudio, I only have schedules and schedule sets available for office spaces. I do not see the option to add schedules from the Building Components Library either. I feel like I'm missing something pretty simple - any suggestions? |

For 'osc's use loadComponent." When I try to open the .osm file, nothing happens. Suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

2017-03-08 19:49:19 -0500 | asked a question | Missing OpenStudio functionality in Sketchup with plugin I have downloaded and installed EnergyPlus-8-6-0, OpenStudio 1.14.0, Sketchup 2017 and the OpenStudio Legacy v1.0.14 plugin on a mac OSX. The Legacy OpenStudio plugin appears in the extension manager, but I do not seem to have the functionality of OpenStudio in Sketchup. When I display all of the potential toolbars, I do not see the toolbar items that are used for OpenStudio in the tutorials (e.g. creating new model from a template, changing space types, etc.) I am very new to all of this, so it is possible that I am missing something quite simple. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
