I have downloaded and installed EnergyPlus-8-6-0, OpenStudio 1.14.0, Sketchup 2017 and the OpenStudio Legacy v1.0.14 plugin on a mac OSX. The Legacy OpenStudio plugin appears in the extension manager, but I do not seem to have the functionality of OpenStudio in Sketchup. When I display all of the potential toolbars, I do not see the toolbar items that are used for OpenStudio in the tutorials (e.g. creating new model from a template, changing space types, etc.) I am very new to all of this, so it is possible that I am missing something quite simple.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe I don't have all the answer, but you can find more information about OpenStudio Legacy vs OpenStudio Suite on this post. Maybe it's because SketchUp run OpenStudio Legacy ''instead'' OpenStudio Suite. As I understand, you downloaded theses two products. Let's wait for an answer from someone know more about it. =)

I'm closing this question which has been covered here, here and here.

Bottom line: OpenStudio is different from the legacy plugin, if you want the OpenStudio Suite either install Sketchup 2016 or use a developer release after 2.0.1, see the above posts.
