Project Run fails (Not Responding) and file disappears

Running a basic model before entering optimization options in BEOpt v3. I copy a basic file from another location, then open the new file. I make updates, draw the building layout, then save throughout changes. When I click "Run", the Retrofit file disappears from the folder and fails in Windows as Not Responding. No file to share, as it is no longer in the folder. I have both v2.8 and v3.0 on my laptop. I select 3.0 by selecting "Open With" and getting approval by the software to proceed. Screenshot attached.
