CHP + Absorption Chiller

I completed a model using the following element (and all the related objects):

  1. One AirTerminal:SingleDuct:VAV:HeatandCool:Reheat
  2. Boiler:HotWater
  3. Chiller:Electric:EIR
  4. CoolingTower:TwoSpeed
  5. WaterHeater:Mixed

The model run correctly and this is the basic case, now I want to implement a model that use a Internal Combustion Engine and an Absorption Chiller to cover the basic load. I will resize the Boiler and the Chiller to cover the peak load.

I thought to use Generator:MicroCHP and Chiller:Absorption, but I didn't find and example and this is the first time that I am trying to build a system with more energy sources.

My idea is to create the object Generator:MicroCHP and Chiller:Absorption with their loop and insert in parallel in the existing loop. I am thinking in a correct way or I am missing some fundamental aspects?

It's possible to use a heat exchanger for the DHW loop instead of a Boiler?

Thank you!

I thought to use Generator:MicroCHP completed the model with CHP and Chiller:Absorption, Absorption Chiller but I didn't find have a problem: the CHP always work at 100% and example and this is if I size it in a way that it cannot work at 100% for all the first time that I am trying to build a system with more energy sources.the simulation fail (error on maximum temperature over the limit in the hot water loop).

My Any idea is on what I can do to create the object Generator:MicroCHP and Chiller:Absorption with their loop and insert in parallel in the existing loop. I am thinking in a correct way or I am missing some fundamental aspects?

It's possible to use a heat exchanger for the DHW loop instead of a Boiler?fix this problem?
