I'm trying to model a DOAS system in the new EnergyPro NRM6 module (w/ ComCheck energyplus engine). I created a DOAS dummy zone with 6 surfaces.

When running EnergyPlus simulation, the program always abort and show error in the eplusout.err file:

* Severe * Temperature (high) out of bounds (4672.26] for zone="20-OSA DUMMY ZONE", for surface="INTERIOR SURFACE189" * ~~~ * During Warmup, Environment=QUICKANALYSIS1 RUN PERIOD, at Simulation time=03/26 01:45 - 01:46 * ~~~ * Zone="20-OSA DUMMY ZONE", Diagnostic Details: * ~~~ * ...Internal Heat Gain [2.153] W/m2 * ~~~ * ...Infiltration/Ventilation [0.000] m3/s * ~~~ * ...Mixing/Cross Mixing [0.000] m3/s * ~~~ * ...Zone is part of HVAC controlled system. * Fatal * CalcHeatBalanceInsideSurf: Program terminates due to preceding conditions.

There are other split DX systems in the model, to which the DOAS system serves outside air.

Has anyone had similar problem before? I'm not sure if this is ComCheck issue (I'm thinking maybe some settings not passed correctly to E+, or it doesn't ask for proper inputs that E+ need to calculate a DOAS system).

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

@yuna you are referring to CBECC-Com, not ComCheck. Edited and re-tagged your question so you'll get better answers.

@yuna, I haven't used the new EnergyPro interface, but with CBECC-Com you can specify a primary heating/cooling system as well as a separate primary ventilation system. So whilst in the old EnergyPro you had to create a dummy zone to house the outside air, in CBECC-Com you should be able to create a seperate airside system to handle the ventilation requirements. I would suggest downloading the CBECC-Com GUI provided here and looking at their DOAS example.
