I have an IDF file of version 6.0 How to convert this IDF to the latest energy plus version

I am using a graphical user interface called Smart-Energy to generate IDF files,but when i use this IDf file in latest Energyplus version it does not work.can we convert this old version of IDF to the latest acceptable Energy-Plus version? I found a tool which can convert a file of version 7.0 or more to the latest version but not getting anything for version 6.0
