Influence of surroundings in the Surface Heat Balance
I'm trying to modelated a building in OpenStudio, but i can't understand where i have to define the influence of the surrrounding on the envelope heat balance. For me looks like that the shading surface, have only influence the shade, but not in the solar radiation reflection. There is any option in OpenStudio where i can define the surroundings features? I would be thankful for any suggestions about it. I'm reading for understand the software the EnergyPlus Documentation Engineering Reference, in the chapter 6 it is explained the solar radiation reflected, but my question is there is any step that i have to follow to define it in OpenStudio?
Are you trying to use a weather file, or provide custom surrounding conditions for outdoor air?
I'm using a weather file, but this is not enough to reflect the thermal impact of the characteristics of the surrounding urban context, as surrounding materials i think so. The only way i know to define custom surrounding conditions for outdoor air is the 'Basic Model Wind Coefficient' in the 'space infiltration effective leakage area', it is this what you suggest?
