I'm trying to calculate the heating rate. The InputOutputReference of 2008 and others documents suggest to use the COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:PURCHASED AIR. But I'm using the version 8.6 of Energy Plus and can't find that class. There is something equivalent in the version 8.6?

Ideal Load Air System is a concept totally equivalent to purchased air. Check the input output reference manual. You can use the HVACTemplate objects for convenience:

Or the ZoneHVAC:IdealLoadsAirSystem directly.

I took the liberty of adding links to the documentation and mention the non HVACTemplate option.

Worth reading the first paragraph here:

The simplest way to add HVAC control to an EnergyPlus thermal zone is to use the ZoneHVAC:IdealLoadsAirSystem. This was called purchased air in older versions
