I need to make a comparison between lighting simulations before and after adding some shading surfaces. The problem is that I can not find any construction in library for shadings or even when I try to assign them a transmittance schedule I can not find any part or field which is related to these shadings in OpenStudio application! Any help please?image description

You're trying to model individual railing balusters?

All those balusters are in one single shading group.

Ya, there are a lot of surfaces there though since E+ surfaces can't have holes in them. If I were you I'd draw it as one surface and then give it some transmissivity if you really care about that level of detail. you'll get the same effect as what you're doing there. If you're okay with extended simulation times, I guess you can leave it.

I don't know anything about site shading, but building and space shading are dependent on whether or not you create shading group specific to a space. In other words, are you inside or outside the space object when you create it.

Space Shading will show up blue, as seen here... image description

Building Shading will show up purple, as seen here... image description

To change the specific surface construction or transmissivity schedule, add/create the desired construction to your model or create the schedule. Then you can enter the shading group, click on the surface and use the inspector to assign the desired values, as seen here... image description

If not assigned at the previous location, the surface can inherit construction from the construction set for the respective shading type (at the location you circled in your picture).

Awesome! Found it. Thank you so much. But I sill have this problem remaining for construction. I mean I can not find any construction sets among the archives of the library which is appropriate for the shading. Or maybe there is a way to make my own construction set which I don't know about? I want to customize it since it's not similar to any default materials. Sorry if I'm knowledgeable about this.

You can create your own materials and then use those materials to make a construction in the OS application. You can drag the construction from the 'My Model' tab of the library browser and drop it into the construction set you're using, or just directly assign the construction to the surface.
