How do I make sure that a door exists in both adjoining OpenStudio spaces?

If my building has a room with a door that opens into a corridor, and the room and corridor are two separate zones, how do I model this? Do I have to draw the door in both zones (the corridor and the room)?

Assuming this is about OpenStudio, see my most recent comment to this answer about using the SketchUp plugin surface matching to intersect interior sub-surfaces.

If you meant for this to be comment under the other question, please delete this and add the comment there. Yes you need the sub-surface in both spaces, or remove all interior sub-surfaces.

Better as a unique question, I think (though I see your point, it is eerily similar to @waseem's comment)
