Hi,

Is it possible to make spaces inherit default Construction Sets, Schedule sets and Design Specification Outdoor air through the Openstudio interface even though prior to creating these space types I had assigned different Construction Sets, Schedule sets and Design Specification Outdoor air for each Space through the Openstudio inspector in SketchUp?

Now If I assign a space type to an os space in sketchup it does not inherit the Construction Sets, Schedule sets and Design Specification Outdoor air I assigned to it in the os interface; it keeps the ones I had previously assigned. I imagine this would a question of inheritance priority.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, this is possible. this inheritance diagram may be helpful. It shows that both construction sets and schedules (or schedule sets) can be assigned the building > a building story > a space type > or to a space.

If you now want the use a building default assignment now, then you need to remove the assignments form the spaces. You can go to the spaces tab in the OpenStudio application to clear these out, I believe grid view multi-slect should work for this.

If you ever have loads or constructions assigned directly to a space, user scripts in the SketchUp plugin can remove hard assigned constructions and hard assigned internal loads.
