I just tried to download some of the zip archives with the DOE Commercial Reference Building E+ files, but the download links now take me to a page not found error. Is there an alternative location where the files are available?

Archive.org's Wayback Machine was able to find at least one of zip files here:

Thanks for the suggestion. The site does host the spreadsheets with information on the models' inputs and results, but doesn't have the EnergyPlus files themselves. I might try downloading the prototype models (which represent buildings built to different energy codes) and adjusting the inputs so that they resemble the reference buildings. A pathway to a solution, if not a perfect one.

I just tried this page and could not download any of the zip's either.
Pretty much all ZIP file links with "energy.gov" in their URL appear broken (e.g. here). As the help desk email is "referencebuildings@nlr.gov", I'm wondering if this issue may be due to the "NREL" to "NLR" transition (e.g. invalid redirect).
Otherwise, prototype building model ZIP files here all seem OK.
