@Dinosaver OpenStudio has logic to dynamically create reversed constructions for matched surfaces, or to apply existing construction if it is symmetrical. This works for when one construction is missing, but it an also override defaults. For example if you have a construction set for the entire building that has a default interior ceiling construction, and then you have an attic space with a custom attic floor construction; a reversed attic floor construction will be generated and applied to the ceiling of the space just below it.

Here is an example of what that looks like in the OS app. Note that after making changes to boundary conditions, you ma y have to leave and come back to this tab to see constructions update. The green color below is an indication of an inherited construction. This particular model has no construction set, so the plenum floor is inheriting from the matched surface.
