2015-08-17 09:59:45 -0500 | answered a question | Details about DOE commercial reference buildings The Review of Pre- and Post-1980 Buildings in CBECS – HVAC Equipment has details about the specific reasons that certain HVAC systems are used for certain building types, as well as why the hotel, for example, uses two different systems (on page 19). It appears that the modelers based their decisions on the statistical likelihood of a type of HVAC system being implemented in a certain living space, and only put multiple types of systems in a building if the data showed a clear divide. |

I have run the "create_DOE_prototype_building_Test.rb" from this project but have been unable to successfully generate all building types in the OSM format. Any word on when the Reference Buildings functionality will be complete? |
