2015-01-12 06:14:16 -0500 | commented answer | Define summer/winter and day/night periods I was looking for simulate it during several days, lets say summer period, but only the nighttime hours... I'm evaluating the potential of natural ventilation for those periods, so if I simulate only with a global RunPeriod (for the entire year) the result will not be so good it could be, I guess. Thank you! |
2015-01-12 02:35:05 -0500 | commented answer | Define summer/winter and day/night periods Thank you for your answer. Regarding specifying the RunPeriod days I manage to do it; for hours of the day I still can't do it... If anyone knows it I would appreciate it! |
2015-01-11 17:49:59 -0500 | asked a question | Define summer/winter and day/night periods Hello everyone. I would like to know how can I simulate my model for a specific period of time: for instance during the summer period and only for night hours. I'm using Ideal Air Loads and a default schedule for Medium Office by the way. Thank you, Pedro |

I made it :) Now I have another question: the energy I'm getting is the District Heating (and Cooling) Consumption in Millions Btu. Is this energy the final building needs? Or do I have to convert it with a factor? Thank you! |

2014-12-23 09:31:10 -0500 | asked a question | OpenStudio/EnergyPlus - Design Cooling and Heating Loads = 0 Hello, I'm trying to modelling a simple house, with only one space (and one thermal zone). But every time I run my model I get these warnings: * Warning * SetUpZoneSizingArrays: Requested Sizing for Zone="THERMAL ZONE 1", Zone has no thermostat (ref: ZoneControl:Thermostat, et al) * Warning * Calculated design cooling load for zone=THERMAL ZONE 1 is zero. * ~~~ * Check Sizing:Zone and ZoneControl:Thermostat inputs. * Warning * Calculated design heating load for zone=THERMAL ZONE 1 is zero. * ~~~ * Check Sizing:Zone and ZoneControl:Thermostat inputs. I'm using IDEAL AIR LOADS for my thermal zone (only). What can I do to get my heating and cooling loads? Thank you very much! |
