2015-09-24 20:06:03 -0500 | answered a question | Do you know of any detailed tutorials on TRNSYS for beginners? I am currently developing some TRNSYS training tools and have just completed the first module covering the basics of how to use Simulation studio. It is interactive and will force you to click on the screen to progress, with questions throughout to test your understanding. Check it out here, and please let me know your feedback: http://energyae.com/trnsys/training#m... Over the next coming months I will be covering more advanced topics such as ‘From Design to Simulation’, ‘Building & HVAC systems modelling’, and ‘Automation & Optimisation Techniques for TRNSYS’. If you'd like to be kept updated, fill out the form below the video. |

I used Type 567 in TRNSYS using the TESS extension package 'Electrical Library'. The BIPVT model integrates well with a Type 56 building model which you generate using Google Sketchup and TRNSYS-3D for the CAD design of the building structure, and TRNBUILD for specifying construction materials and operation schedules like occupancy, ventilation, infiltration, and HVAC modes. I recently completed a Masters degree on this topic and can offer advice if you have any specific questions. You can email me on alastair.mcdowell@energyae.com. |
