Thank you. Do you know anyone who is actually using the plugin?

It is designer's working reference; large and expensive. It's a very good book, but unless you're planning on working as

I wonder if perhaps your ground plane is too small. You might be getting a different amount of ground glow at the higher floors.

You need to look at Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR). See http://agi32.com/blog/2014/12/10/phot...

2016-02-23 19:35:15 -0500 answered a question Can radiance calculate the DGI ?

Evalglare (see the PDF at http://www.radiance-online.org/learni...) calculates DGI, as well as several other daylight metrics, and it is now part of the NREL Radiance distribution. If you're using it as a design tool as well as to satisfy Chinese code requirements, I recommend looking at DGP.

On the other hand, the awk book is still $100. No wonder hardly anyone uses awk any more.

Thanks, Rob. I'm still not sure that anyone is actually paying those several hundred dollar prices; I think they're computers bidding against computers.

2015-12-30 11:56:28 -0500 commented answer The Definition of Radiance Parameters in OpenStudio

I have copies for US$35 + shipping + handling. I ship globally.

I also have a few misprints (the printer left out the Greek letters, trashing much of the math, but you can still learn how to run a simulation from them) that I am remaindering for US$12 each, including shipping, within the USA. (It's just not worth shipping those internationally.)

Truth in marketing: there will eventually be a free PDF (sometime, I am determined, in 2016), but don't hold your breath.

More information is available in the back chapters of the book Rendering with Radiance. I sell copies.
