How can I use Schedule:File in DesignBuilder for Site:Precipitation?

Hello,

I am trying to create a precipitation schedule in line with section 1.7.25 of the Input Output Reference (https://energyplus.net/assets/nrel_custom/pdfs/pdfs_v9.6.0/InputOutputReference.pdf). I have hourly precipitation data in CSV format.

Writing such a detailed schedule in the compact schedule format is too cumbersome to do manually, and this is made worse by the fact that I have to go through this process at least 15 times for different locations.

I am not familiar with scripting, and I have mainly worked with EnergyPlus via the DesignBuilder interface. I tried to create a Schedule:File using the IDFEditor but was unsure how to proceed in DesignBuilder, and I cannot find a thread that explains this in detail. Is there a tool that converts schedules in CSV format to Compact Schedule format? If not, what is the best way to go about this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

All the best,

Lina
