Can I add insulation panels like louvres instead of component block to analyse shading and cooling effect

I want to analyze the effect of Insulation movable panels on the exterior of the building both on opaque and non-opaque surfaces of the envelope, so for this instead of component block which provides only shading, the panels must also exhibit insulating properties, please provide a solution for this.

I'am using Design Builder tool for simulation and the component block can be used only for shading or reflecting surfaces. I want to understand the effect of insulation panels( in the form of louvres) when placed perpendicular to the external wall surface.

Can I add insulation panels like louvres instead of component block to analyse shading and cooling effect

I want to analyze the effectimage description of Insulation movable panels on the exterior of the building both on opaque In a usual wall construction, the external wall insulation and non-opaque surfaces of the envelope, so wall masonry are layered parallel to each other. However, for this instead of component block which provides only shading, the panels must also exhibit insulating properties, please provide a solution for this.

I'am using Design Builder tool for simulation and the component block can my masters thesis research I am exploring to model external wall insulation to be used only for shading or reflecting surfaces. I want to understand the effect of insulation panels( in the form of louvres) when placed perpendicular to the (or at an angle) to the wall masonry using DesignBuilder (or EnergyPlus). I am trying to place external wall surface.insulation in a way as slats are there in Louvers. Please refer the "Wall Section B" in the attached image. Also please refer to this youtube video which explains the idea of tiltable insulation on building facade.

I wish to analyze the impact of tiltable insulation (dynamic facade) on the thermal load of the building using EnergyPlus.

Please let me know is it possible to model it in EnergyPlus, or is their any workaround for the same?

Your prompt response will be much appreciated as I am in a very tight schedule for my masters thesis study.

Thank you.
