For convectors/baseboard what does U factor times area (btu/h*R) actually mean in openstudio?

For convectors/baseboard, when I'm modeling an existing building, instead of auto sizing I'd like to enter in btuh of the existing equipment but the field is U factor times area. What does this actually mean? Btuh divided by the delta T?
