temperature control method (air temperature vs operative temperature)

Hello guys,

For energy simulation with designbuilder on calculation option you can choose to control temperature based on "Air temperature" or based on "Operative temperature".

1-Air temperature - control the zone mean air temperatures to the heating and cooling setpoint temperatures 2-Operative temperature - control the room temperature using 0.5 radiant fraction

Which one do you usually use for equipment sizing? using operative temperature control will result in bigger equipment. is there any criteria for selection?

Thank you.
