OpenStudio exported gbXML 'exposedToSun' attribute not written

Hello,

When gbXML is exported from OpenStudio Application v1.3.1 (OpenStudio SDK (core) version: 3.3.0) the 'exposedToSun' attribute is not written.

Unfortunately, I do not have the required user points to upload files or images to demonstrate direct evidence. However, the gripe should be repeatable with any OpenStudio file used to export gbXML.

The 'exposedToSun' attribute description suggests high severity associated with not writing the attribute to exported gbXML. Actual severity has not yet been confirmed through direct analysis.

Questions are as follows:

  1. Is it typical for OpenStudio to not write the 'exposedToSun' attribute to exported gbXML?
  2. What might be the outcome(s) of gbXML based analysis without the 'exposedToSun' attribute explicitly set?

Thank you for any insight that the community has to offer.

Please note, background files are available for analysis. However, based on my observations this gripe should be repeatable when any OSM background is exported to gbXML.
