Energy Plus output heating energy and rate

Hello everyone, I would like to understand what is the difference between sensitive heating RATE and ENERGY. In the engineering reference it says "This is the sensible heating rate multiplied by the simulation timestep". But if I convert the joules to watt-hours and then watts (1Wh=3600 J) and consider the timestep, I get a different result than EnergyPlus. What exactly does the rate tell me? How should I interpret this information? Kind regards Maria
