PMV - PPD Comfort evaluation and thermostat

Hello, I would need help for my master thesis.

Despite the addition of a ventilation system through the template "zoneVentilation:DesignFlowRate" (schedule "classroom 3A (302)", but I also tried to simulate "always on" and "always off"), the simulation doesn’t show any meaningful result in terms of mean air temperature, whether the ventilation system is set to Intake, Exhaust, Balanced or turned off. I definitely believe something should change when activating a ventilation.

In addition, I also used the template "ZoneVentilation:WindandStackOpenArea" to simulate the opening of windows according to different schedules and regardless of outdoor temperature (to check if that would have had any effect on the temperatures). Again, nothing has changed in the results regarding the zone mean air temperature.

Same thing for the results concerning the "OccupantComfortDataSummaryMonthly" for the simulations of 4 different models. Despite the different settings that I listed, results are always identical for all the different simulations. In particular, something is not working regarding the PMV and PPD values, that I need to include in my thesis since I am particularly focusing on the comparison in perceived comfort between a classroom ventilated with natural ventilation (opening windows) and with an MVHR or HVAC system. All the results for the different configurations, despite all the changes I made, are still all zeros.

Also, I tried different settings for the Thermostat template. I set up the schedule for heating and cooling in order that at any given time, the set point for heating was 22 °C and 26 °C. Again, it didn’t have any meaningful influence on the temperatures.

I will attach the IDF file and also a word document with screenshots so everything will be more clear I hope.

Thank you so much in advance for your help, Alessandro
