Unhandled exception boost::filesystem::weakly_canonical

I recently installed the latest version of OpenStudio SDK and Application to my Windows 10 machine. I am unable to run or save any models. I first attempted to open a model I built on Mac OS but when that brought this error up, I decided to try one of the pre-built models from the "Building Energy Modeling with OpenStudio" book and those models also throw this error. I have file explorer closed while trying to save or run the models as mentioned in this post, but the error message is different so not able to fix it. I also can't create a new model (instead of opening an existing model) as the error still persists.
