Could I use OpenStudio to export IDF from DXF?

I found this page (https://energyplus.net/sites/default/files/docs/site_v8.3.0/Tips_and_Tricks_Using_EnergyPlus/Tips_and_Tricks_Using_EnergyPlus/index.html#creating-files-for-energyplus) where I read that is possible to export an IDF file from a DXF file, by using OpenStudio (a SketchUp 3D Plugin).

Is there someone who can confirm that, or even has used this tool?

Could I use the SketchUp Trial Version to reach my goal?
