Where can I find more info on HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit performance inputs?

I am trying to adjust the heating and cooling performance of a GSHP using the HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit Heating and Cooling objects and I have the following questions:

  1. What conditions does energyplus assume the reference properties are measured at?
  2. What sort of capacity curve do these objects follow? Unlike other conventional chiller/heat pump objects, the coefficients are properties defined within the object itself (whereas in the other case, a separately-defined curve object, bi-quadratic, bi-cubic, etc... is referenced). The Input/Output Reference document suggests checking the Engineering Reference document; however this document doesn't seem to explicitly describe the type of curve found in these HeatPump:WaterToWater:EquationFit objects.
