Does anyone who knows how to use SimCon coupled with GenOpt to equip the MPC (model predictive control) into EnergyPlus to optimize such as HVAC setpoint? The SimCon was an opensource software developped by Brian Coffey (https://simulationresearch.lbl.gov/GO/download.html).

The source code was written by Java, which I can not run by the Eclipse Java software. Even through the I read the author's related paper, doctor dissertation, but I still can not fully understand how they works. I hope someone could help me.

At last, I just want to ask why is the best or quick way to use MPC for EnergyPlus, rather than RC model.
