How to delete a Surface in the OS interface (rather than in Sketchup)?

Hi, when I open my OS model in Sketchup, I get an error telling me that a surface was not drawn because it occupies the same plane (within them same space) as another surface. Sketchup is correct - this surface should not be here. However, since it does not get drawn by Sketchup, I have no way of deleting it. I would have thought that I could delete it within the OS interface, but direct deleting of surfaces does not seem to be an available feature (?). Any suggestions? Thanks.

Error: Surface 1740 This planar surface shares the same SketchUp face as Surface 979. This error cannot be automatically fixed. The surface will not be drawn.
