Defining shading surface as outside boundary condition for roof

I modeled a tilted PV array on a building roof by defining a tilted shading surface (let's call it PV Surf 1) using Shading:Site:Detailed. I was wondering if the shading surface can be defined as an object in the SurfaceProperty:OtherSideConditionsModel and referenced in SurfaceProperty:ExteriorVentedCavity such that the the outside boundary conditions object for the roof in Building:Site:Detailed is PV Surf 1. Also, is it possible to define the material of the shading surface?
