how can I disable the heat exchange between solar collector and water at night

I'm modelling a hot water system with both heat pump and solar collector using OpenStudio. At night when no solar energy is collected by the solar collector, there is still heat exchange between the warm water (heated by heat pump) and solar collector which causes heat loss of the warm water. Does anyone know how to disable the heat exchange between solar collector and water at night?
