Leed 2009 exterior lighting

Hi,

The LEED 2009 exterior lighting requirements leave me a bit puzzled. Here is my situation:

  • The proposed building design has only exterior lighting on non-tradable surfaces, with installed power of 0.7 kW and no exterior lighting on tradable surfaces.
  • Credits cannot be taken for non-tradable surfaces, nor for tradable surfaces when the proposed model does not plan lighting there. Therefore, my baseline model has only the 0.7 kW for non-tradable and 0 kW for tradable. Correct?
  • The building is located in "zone 4", with a base allowance for exterior lighting of 1.3 kW.

I receive issues/comments by the excel sheet, that I am not fullfilling the mandatory requirements according to 9.4.5. If I understand it correctly, I can have up to 1.3 + 0.7 kW in the baseline model? However, I am not allowed to assign it to either non-tradable or tradable surfaces?

Some feedback on this is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Sarah
