How does Energyplus handle an interior window in a floor when Solar Distribution = Full Exterior?

I've read these questions about floor openings and atriums. I'm inferring that when people suggest using internal windows in an Atrium that this would be done in conjunction with setting Solar Distribution = FullInteriorandExterior. I have Atrium conditions, but I also have non-convex geometry in my zones, and therfore I cannot use Solar Distribution = FullInteriorandExterior.

When using Solar Distribution = FullExterior, I read in the E+ engineering reference that the beam solar will be assigned 100% to the floor. What happens if I locate an Interior window on the floor? Would any solar of any sort (diffuse?) be transmitted? Is the beam solar only assigned to the opaque portion of the floor?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.
