How to create thermostat

I am perplexed that creating a thermostat is not an easy thing to do. I need to create a few thermostats for a custom residential model. I would prefer not to write ruby code to do this. What are my options for creating custom Thermostats ? This question relates to OS >1.10 where the Thermostat is no longer visible in the Inspector...

I'd prefer not to write a measure, or otherwise get down and Ruby.

I feel as though I am missing something obvious, because I imagine this is not an unusual requirement.

The object I am missing something obvious, because I imagine this trying to create is not an unusual requirement.a ThermostatSetpoint:DualSetpoint which references the heating and cooling setpoints.

This question relates object doesn't seem to OS >1.10 where the Thermostat is no longer be visible in the Inspector...OS App,nor the OS Inspector is that right? That seems to rule out editing an existing one from a library and also baking my own (without getting down to the Ruby). So I am curious how the building type templates in the New Model wizard are created and managed ?
