Hi everyone! Im using OS for my thesis and need to use the operative temperature (OT) instead of air temperature for the thermostat setpoints.
I found this old thread (Link) which had the same question but no sufficient answer other then a depricatet EMS, which i dont think i can adapt to the current OS version. (limited time and programming knowledge) I already tried to edit the code of the old measure, which i got from NREL from an old database, into a current measure without any success (Failed to compute arguments for measure: failed to infer measure name from C:/users...)
It is possible to use Thermostat:OperativeTemperature in EnergyPlus for thermostat setpoints. I was thinking of exporting my OS model to idf and then change the setpoints in EnergyPlus somehow and run the simulation in E+. Would that work or is too much information lost when exporting to idf? I have very limited experience using E+ on its own.
System: Water based heating system, HPWH Tank as Heater with baseboard heating and outdoor air setpoint manager. Software: OpenStudio
Thank you so much for any input! Alex
