Are there plans to add the option to model PCM in v3 of BeOpt or was that decided to be dropped from BeOpt 2.8? Is the best option to just use BeOpt to generate an IDF and model the PCM in the IDF itself in E+?

PCMs are not a heavily used feature of BEopt so they have not been a priority to include in v3. They are still on the radar, but unlikely to be implemented anytime in the near future. In the meantime, you can either do what you proposed with BEopt v3, or you can continue to model the PCMs using BEopt 2.8.

I've continually had fatal errors with even just built in construction types like the PCM drywall or Drywall/ PCM Mat in BeOpt 2.8. I've continually changed the conductivity and thickness but get the same errors. I have a simple enthalpy model I made just for the PCM we are using in the Solar Decathlon build, but have wanted to just get a "ballpark" idea for sizing to use in E+. I've been trying to wrap my head around the error and was looking at the ConFD engineering reference from BigLadder but have been running before I walk a bit.
