I used the calculation method (UHFcalc) available in EnergyPlus to calculate the g-function response factors of the ground heat exchangers.

I would like to know if there is any possible way to know the values of response factors calculated and results from using this method in energyPlus.

Thank you,

Regards,

Kamar

After running the EnergyPlus simulation, there should be a eplusout.glhe output file that includes the g-function response factors. If you're not seeing it, you may have to add the OutputControl:Files object to the IDF and set the field GLHE to "Yes".

Thank you for your answer. Where this file should appear. Actually I am not seeing it in the output files. I added an object to the OutputContorl:Files but EP has been crushing. Any tricks on that are very welcome.

Hi, I have run it again and this warning appears:

The following lines are "Unused Objects". These objects are in the input
** ~~~ ** file but are never obtained by the simulation and therefore are NOT used.
** ~~~ ** Each unused object is shown.
** ~~~ ** See InputOutputReference document for more details.
************* Object=OutputControl:Files=OutputControl:Files 1

Thanks

What version of EnergyPlus are you using? Try the latest version if you're not already.
