I successfully downloaded some materials from the Building Component Library (BCL) using the OpenStudio application, but I cannot load the materials into the OpenStudio file. I can load other materials from my library into my model no problem (they load instantly), but the BCL material don't load at all (program doesn't even pause like it's processing anything).

Does anyone have any tips about how to get some BCL materials into my model in the OS Application?

By BCL material you mean measures? If yes, did you check if you measures directory is the same directory where you saved your measures?

Try to navigate to Preferences, on the left hand side of the task bar, and them acess "Change my Measures Directory" of "Change Default Libraries" and make sure those directories are the same where you are saving your files.

Do you see the BCL materials in your library? If you see them, can you grab them and attempt to drag into your model? Which materials are you trying to use?

I'm having the same problem. @lrebello it's not measures, it's components downloaded from the BCL. Drag from Library into the relevant construction and... nothing happens. Seems like a bug?

Same here. In BCL I choose a material, check it and click Download. Then under Constructions, it shows up in the Library with the blue letters "BCL" in the lower left corner of the material description. Drag it to "Drag From Library" and nothing happens.

I have had the same problem. I have resorted to downloading it directly from the bcl website, renaming the osc file to osm, and then adding it as a library to my project.
