Convert IDF File from Version 22.2 to 8.0
I have an IDF file with Version 22.2, but I need an IDF file in Version 8.0 for a MATLAB toolbox, and I'm unsure how to change the version. Do I need to manually adjust every change from version 8.0 to 22.2, or is there a more efficient way to do this?

I have already seen this post and as I understood it, I would have to change a lot in the .idf File manually. Is my understanding correct? So my question is, if there are any other possibilities to change the version "backwards"?
@Sneog Correct -- there is still no tool that automatically converts IDF backwards like the IDF Version Updater tool. To convert an IDF backwards, you have to do it manually by reviewing changes to the IDD file for the versions you're working with (newer version to start & older version to end).
May it be easier to update the Matlab toolbox so that it works 22.2 instead?
Yes. I have already found a solution for my problem. I have just changed the list of the compatible versions allowed for the toolbox in the skript.
