Hi,

I have two questions:

  1. one of my zone is not fully enclosed and there is some errors message but I dont understand the meaning
  2. calculated design heat load is zero, we are here not use heating load. How to solve this error?

Please see EnergyPlus error file below

Here's a 3D rendering of Zone "KM WC LT2" (with a few coordinates).

image description

"KM WC LT2" has 12x surfaces in the IDF - there should only be 11x:

  • 7x walls
  • 2x ceilings
  • 2x floors

Wall "97F56C" looks to be the intruder (in purple). It's facing Outdoors, but that's beside the point. I have not verified other surfaces/zones in the IDF. I suggest you first fix geometry issues like this one. This may fix other issues downstream (i.e. many calculations require valid volumes/areas).

Thank you very much Denis Borgeois, I will check the geometry, and you are correct. 97F56C is the intruder.

For my second question, how can the error "calculated design heating load for the zones ... is zero" be solved? These zones are not use heating load as we are in a tropical country.

thank you very much Have a nice day Budijanto

@budich, I'm not sure this is an issue. You're getting warnings, not errors. There's no calculated design heating load ... which seems correct as the thermostat heating in the IDF (20°C) is "Always Off" (search for "Constant Setpoint Thermostat", the only HVACTemplate:Thermostat defined in the IDF).
