Hey, I was wondering if there's a way to update an existing installation of OpenStudio/Parametric Analysis Tool using the 'maintenancetool' file in their installation directories. Is this the purpose of this file?

I did come across this question but I wonder if this is still the case as it was 7 years ago.

You can update by just running a new installer for OpenStudio Application or PAT. The newer version can sit side by side with the older version, if you still need both, or you can delete the older version. It isn't a direct upload of an installer in place, you just install a new full application.
