Running a basic model before entering optimization options in BEOpt v3. I copy a basic file from another location, then open the new file. I make updates, draw the building layout, then save throughout changes. When I click "Run", the Retrofit file disappears from the folder and fails in Windows as Not Responding. No file to share, as it is no longer in the folder. This issue occurred three times already. I have both v2.8 and v3.0 on my laptop. I select 3.0 by selecting "Open With" and getting approval by the software to proceed. Screenshot attached.I will update if the 3.0.0-4 addresses the issue. C:\fakepath\SharedScreenshot.jpg

I've not seen this behavior before. The good news is that you can apparently reproduce the problem over and over. When you click Run and it prompts you to auto-save, does BEopt behave correctly if you A) choose to save to a new filename, or B) click Cancel (in which case it won't try to auto-save)?

It does not prompt at all. After I click Run, the software fades and shows "Not Responding". I found I was able to get a project to work correctly if I did not Drag+Drop from my template file to a new folder and instead copy+paste the template into a new folder.

Huh. I have no idea why those two approaches would be different, nor why BEopt would choke on one of them.

I've tried a couple times, but now the drag+drop vs. copy+paste isn't working either. Something else is failing. Consistently occurring, such that I've rebuilt multiple models, but not every time.

I have started saving the project as a new file name before I click Run. This seems to keep the project in the file and complete normally, except that a new file of the original name is sometimes added to the folder.

I am now syncing files to GDrive throughout modeling. I can confirm that during Runs that result in "Not Responding", the five files for the BEOpt model are sent to GDrive Trash as a zip file. I am able to restore these files from Trash and rerun them, sometimes without the problem repeating. Due to lack of backward compatibility, I cannot remove BEOpt v2.8 or the prior EnergyPlus version. I wonder if these are related to the issue.

@shorowit Is anyone else reporting something similar to this experience? I have had two more detailed energy models get into "not responding", turn gray and unresponsive on my screen, and when closed, they disappear from all parts of my computer. I cannot access them any more in Recycle Bin or in GDrive Trash. This is REALLY becoming a problem. I do not know how to repeat the issue and I do not know when it might occur.
