@RAAVV can you share a copy of your model, that will make it easier for me to trouble shoot. I know for example that EnergyPlus used to fail if you didn't have a non-zero building area so I didn't have to check a reporting measure for that, because the simulation would fail before the reporting measure would run. EnergyPlus has become more relaxed in some places, and as @shorowit suggests I need to update the reporting measures internal checking. The rest of the reporting measure's sections should run fine, and the message is just for diagnostics.

At the link is my model: link text

Unfortunately, the instructor does not want to help me, so maybe you can help me.

The problem occurs when the OpenStudio Results add-on is enabled

Check that all your spaces are assigned to thermal zones. See the answer here for more information.

@David Goldwasser It would be awfully nice if the reporting measure provided users with better information rather than just providing a stacktrace.

@shorowit, if he is using current measure it is upset that model (heat transfer) surface does have construction, which is odd, since sim should fail if that is the case and shouldn't get as far as reporting measure. But maybe something has changed in E+ then I would have to add check for this to skip those surfaces from report. https://github.com/NREL/openstudio-co...
