Hello,

I am working on this project and when I try to open a .dsb file I received my Laptop can't open it. I have this message that appears in the attached document and DesignBuilder closes.

61706, Insufficient memory to perform operation., sketch

It is notable to say that:

-A .lck file appears everytime dsb automatically closes with the name of my dsb file,
-I tried deleting the .lck file multiple times and restarting my laptop, with no change in the behavior.
-My project is a big factory with a proposed building and a baseline building with 18 building blocks each, and in total around 150 zones each.
-When I try opening the file in another PC it opens, and I can use it as normal.
-When I try to open other DB files in my laptop (sizes 3-4MB), they open without any problem
-This DB file was made with DB version: 7.0.2.004 in my laptop, but after I created the baseline I condn't open it anymore in my laptop so I started using another pc, with the same DB version.
-My Laptop is a brand new one, with

Device name DESKTOP-MGP72O7
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1195G7 @ 2.90GHz 2.92 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

Product ID 00330-80000-00000-AA192
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 21H2
Installed on ‎6/‎13/‎2022
OS build 19044.2251
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

with 1TB of storage, of which 770 GB are free. Finally, my .dsb file is a large one, with 11.6 MB
DB version: 7.0.2.004

Is it possible to open my file? What can I do in order to achieve this?

Hi Kostas,

This issue normally happens when DesignBuilder is running with a low-spec integrated card.

Could you please enable DesignBuilder to run with the dedicated GPU as described in this KB article:

How to check if the computer has a dedicated graphics card ? https://support.designbuilder.co.uk/i...

If you are able to open this file on another machine, then save the model without results (File> Save > Save without output results) and delete all 2D floorplans in the model. This will reduce the file size.

Please contact DesignBuilder support team if you need more assistance.

Hi Filipe,

It seems that my laptop has an integrated graphic card (Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics) and even after saving without output results I can't open it in the laptop. Therefore I know now for sure that I won't be able to open the file in my laptop. It is good to know the reason.

Thank you for the feedback.
