I'm trying to model VRF with dedicated ERV DOAS. I started with an empty air loop to model the ERV and then I drag/dropped an outdoor air control to place an Air-to-Air heat exchanger. I then drag/dropped the thermal zone into the zone drop areas. I am working through some runtime errors and the remaining ones are primarily related to the nodes immediately preceding each thermal zone in the ERV air loops (there are two ERVs in the project):

* Severe * Node NODE 52 connects to no component * ~~~ * Occurs in Supply Air Path=AIR LOOP HVAC 1 SUPPLY PATH * ~~~ * Check the connection to a ZoneHVAC:EquipmentConnections object * ~~~ * Check if this component is missing from the Supply Air Path

I was careful to input OA rates as described here.

I'm not sure how to address the no connection error when visually it appears there is a connection as shown in this jpg: C:\fakepath\ERV.JPG

You are missing the Terminals between the Zone and the Splitter. See picture below. You probably want AirTerminal Single Duct Uncontrolled terminals for this type of system. Also, I'd imagine that you'll need heating/cooling coils and a setpoint manager on the air loop as well, but those aren't the cause of the error you asked about. image description.

Yes an error for lack of setpoint manager came up also. Up and running now. Thank you!

It worked. I still have other errors to attend to, but at least these are now taken care of.

Thanks!!
