I am finding myself having to model a Daikin Rebel DPS RTU in OpenStudio or at least EnergyPlus. This is one of the US-DoE Rooftop Challenge Units. It was reported on in a PNNL Report from 2013. Evidently, custom performance curves were created for it, using EnergyPlus EMS functions. In Appendix B of the report, reference is made to an Example File, which appears to link to "RetailStandalone_LA_Rebel_Example.idf". However, the link does not work. Does anyone have this file? Has anyone ever modeled a Daikin Rebel DPS in EnergyPlus or even OpenStudio? Is there a better way of modeling this unit now than via EMS as (probably) suggested in the above Example File? I also searched for Daikin Rebel DPS performance curves, specifically on the Daikin websites, but no useful information is available there. Thank you kindly for any assistance you might be able to provide.

The input file is actually attached to that pdf you linked to. If you have a pdf reader that can access file attachments you can save it.

Or if not, here you go: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O...

Now if only someone had thought to do the same with the Carrier WeatherExpert report...

Well what do you know, I learn something new every day. I did not know a PDF could have an attachment. Anyway, seemed my PDF reader can't handle it so I availed myself of your direct link. Thank you very much! Now I will have to spend quality time figuring out what that .idf file actually does.

And yes, I had happened across the Carrier WeatherExpert report as well and actually thought it might be easier to implement than the Daikin Rebel DPS report. It has been a while, but I think as I started to go about it, I still encountered some missing data or some missing logic, so, like so many items on my list, it is as of yet incomplete. It would take any army of developers to keep up with all that could be done under EnergyPlus/OpenStudio.
